Tedder Avenue is usually where you go for coffee or dinner. On Sunday 13 September 2026, it gets a main stage, a car display and a programme that runs from samba to an ABBA tribute. The Main Beach Street Festival takes place from 1 to 6 pm, with free entry. From The Crest, the dining precinct is about a two-minute walk, so you can leave the car behind and make an afternoon of it.

If the music is your main reason for going, keep 3.30 pm onwards clear. For a shorter visit, choose one performance and leave time to look around. These are the published times; check the organiser’s programme before walking over for a particular act.
Away from the stage
The official poster lists a kids zone, roving performers, a car display and an MBPS photobooth. That gives a mixed-age group several things to look for between performances. The programme does not give individual activity times, so use the stage schedule as your fixed point and see what is happening around it.
There is no need to turn the whole Sunday into a timetable. Have breakfast in the apartment, take a morning walk to the beach, then head to Tedder after lunch. With the festival starting at 1 pm, the morning is still yours.
Make room for something to eat

Walk over, and plan around the closure
The organiser’s road closure notice covers Tedder Avenue between Hughes Avenue and Cronin Avenue, from 7 am to 9 pm on Sunday, with car park closures beginning at 6 am. Those restrictions extend beyond the performances, so allow for detours if you are arriving or leaving by car.
