For players, officials and families travelling together, a self-contained Main Beach apartment keeps meals, laundry and downtime simple across five summer days. --- The **Mitre National Futsal Championships** return to the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre in Carrara from **Tuesday 12 to Saturday 16 January 2027**. Football Australia has confirmed the five-day tournament as the second year of a three-year Gold Coast agreement for the national competition. That is useful notice for players, officials and families arriving from interstate. Futsal travel has its own rhythm: early starts, several days of matches, kit that needs washing and a group that does not always want to eat every meal out. ## One tournament, many teams The 2027 championships bring together emerging players from eight Australian Member Federations. The announced divisions cover U12 to U16 Boys, Youth Men and Open Men, U13, U15 and U17 Girls, Youth Women, Open Women, and Open AWD Mixed. For accompanying adults, a five-day tournament is rarely five identical days. One team may be done for the afternoon while another is still playing. A family may want a quiet morning before the next session. The point of a Main Beach base is this: the beach and Tedder Avenue are close by when the court schedule finally clears. ## The useful things are in the apartment Every apartment at The Crest has a full kitchen with an oven, gas cooktop, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator and dining table. There is a separate laundry with a washing machine and dryer. It is enough equipment to make a simple breakfast before a long day, wash uniforms between matches and keep water bottles cold without a trip to the shops. Two-bedroom apartments sleep four and have two bathrooms, useful for a player travelling with parents, siblings or teammates. Premium Two-Bedroom Apartments are refurbished. Standard Two-Bedroom Apartments are clean, tidy and original in style, with the same kitchen, laundry, balcony, air-conditioning, WiFi and secure undercover parking as every other Crest apartment. Interiors vary because apartments are individually owned. One-bedroom apartments are better suited to a player and one accompanying adult, or a couple following the tournament. They have a queen bed, a full bathtub and the same kitchen and laundry set-up. ## A place to switch off after Carrara The Crest is not a team hotel or a tournament venue. It is a Main Beach apartment building, two minutes from the patrolled sand and about two minutes from Tedder Avenue. That separation can be welcome after a full day indoors. Walk to the beach. Get a meal nearby. Come back to a balcony and a kitchen rather than another food-court decision. The building has two heated pools, one indoors and one outdoors, plus a spa, sauna, gym and full-sized tennis court. The outdoor pool is heated to 28°C year-round. Equipment for the tennis court is available for an additional charge. A covered BBQ area gives a group an easy dinner option, while the apartment kitchen keeps the next morning straightforward. ## Leave the match plan to the organisers The confirmed facts are the dates and Carrara venue: **12 to 16 January 2027**. Wait for the official draw before promising a particular arrival time, match day or finals session to the rest of the group. If you are driving, each Crest apartment includes one secure undercover parking space. If you are flying in, decide the tournament transport after the schedule and team arrangements are known.
