[Back to the Blog](/experience/blog/) # Gold Coast conferences in 2027: a Main Beach stay guide > Three early 2027 conferences have confirmed Gold Coast dates: SCoLA at Bond University, APP at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, and Gold Coast Gold at QT Surfers Paradise. Here is how to choose a Main Beach base around them. --- The Gold Coast conference calendar starts early in 2027. For delegates who prefer an apartment, a beach walk and a nearby dinner to sleeping inside a convention precinct, Main Beach gives the work trip a cleaner edge. The Crest is 300 metres from the G:link stop, one tram stop north of Surfers Paradise and about two minutes from Tedder Avenue. This guide begins with three confirmed events. It will be updated as organisers release their 2027 details. Check the official event page before booking travel, particularly for programmes, registration terms, venue access and any conference accommodation offers. ## SCoLA 2027, Bond University The **SCoLA 2027 Conference** runs from **7 to 9 February** at Bond University in Robina. Its theme is _Corporate Law in a Changing World_. Sunday begins with afternoon sessions, while the main conference program runs on Monday and Tuesday. The official welcome dinner is scheduled for Monday evening. Robina is not a walk from Main Beach, so delegates should choose transport around the campus program rather than assume the tram gets them to the door. The useful part of staying here is what happens before and after the conference: a kitchen for an early breakfast, secure parking for one car per apartment and a quieter beachside base once the papers and conversations are done. Pre-conference workshops begin on Wednesday, followed by the main conference, trade exhibition and delegate events from Thursday to Saturday at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach. The detailed program is due in early November, according to the organiser. Broadbeach is the easiest of these three conference areas to pair with a Main Beach stay without a car. The G:link from Main Beach runs south through Surfers Paradise toward Broadbeach, Pacific Fair and The Oasis. Check the current timetable and the conference's final venue directions before travel. The tram is helpful, but it should not replace the organiser's own arrival instructions. APP days can run long. An apartment makes the edges of them calmer: coffee and breakfast on your own timing, laundry after a humid day, and Tedder Avenue close enough for dinner without another trip south. The organiser lists two full days, from 8 am to 6 pm, with networking drinks on the Wednesday evening. It is a compact event for the precious-metals and investment community, rather than a broad public festival. From Main Beach, Surfers Paradise is one stop south on the G:link. That leaves the day centred on the conference but avoids needing to sleep in its immediate precinct. The return is simple: a tram ride north, a short walk from Main Beach station, then a meal or a quiet drink on Tedder Avenue. Check it close to the date, as speaker and session details are still being finalised. ## The apartment case for a work trip Every Crest apartment has a full kitchen, separate laundry, private balcony, ducted air-conditioning and unlimited WiFi. One-bedroom apartments suit a solo delegate or couple. Two-bedroom apartments give two colleagues their own bedrooms and bathrooms, with a shared kitchen and living space. Premium apartments are refurbished; Standard apartments retain original, clean and well-kept styling. The indoor and outdoor heated pools, sauna and gym are there if an early swim or a quiet hour helps after a day inside. The beach is 350 metres from the door. It is close enough to be part of the day, without pretending a work trip needs to become a holiday.
