The big news for 2012 is we have secured a much bigger venue for the Friday and Saturday nights. Unfortunately this year a great deal of people missed out on tickets for the Friday and Saturday nights which is not good, next year we will be rocking at the Vonda Youngman Center which is in Main Street, North Tamborine, just up from the Zamia picture theater, there is a huge polished dance floor, heaps of room and there will be food and drinks available both nights, there is parking on site at the front of the centre for around 40 cars and then there is heaps of on street parking. Sunday night will see us return to our good friends at St Bernards Hotel for the Sunday Night Windown.
There will be bands playing at the Vonda Youngman Centre on Friday and Saturday night, MT Brewery on the Saturday afternoon, the Hot Rod Carnivale on the Sunday and St Bernards Hotel on the Sunday Night
We are pleased to announce that Rusty Pinto will be returning to rock our world and another top WA band Rocket to Memphis will be coming back for a visit also. Warren Earl and The Atomic Rockers (VIC) will be making their way up from Melbourne as will Scotty Baker, we will also be joined by The Fuelers (ACT) The Blackhill Ramblers (VIC) Pete Martini and The Freight Jumpers

The Hot Rod Carnivale will take place at the Tamborine show grounds n Sunday the 6th of May. the show will be open to Pre 1970 Hot Rods, Customs, Stockers, Beaters and British and European bikes. The day will include, the art exhibition, Pin Up Booth by special USA guest Mitzi Valenzuela , Vintage Markets, Food Stalls, Licensed Bar (strictly no BYO please) The Little Miss GarterBelts & Gasoline Awards for young ladies 12 years and under, Live music all day and some surprises to come.
Vintage Caravans Welcome!
Some great news for the vintage caravan owners, we have secured the Mt Tamborine show grounds on Main Western Rd as a sucure camping spot for the caravans at a very reasonable cost. Vintage caravan owners will be able to stay at the venue of the hot rod carnivale for the duration of the festival. To apply for camping rights for your vintage van, you simply need to contact us direct.
PIN UPS
The Pin Up contest will take place at The Vonda Youngman Center on the Saturday night, with some great prizes from our sponsors Cruzin Magazine (QLD), Mitzi & Co (USA) RedStripe Clothing (WA)
And Crafty Jester (QLD) Please note that there will be much more room at the new venue to view the contest
ART SHOW
The art exhibition will take place at the Tamborine Show Grounds Hall over four days, Artists will be able to display and sell their Kustom Kulture and Automotive art in the charming old world hall. The Show is open to Paintings,
Photography, Carvings, Sculptures and Pin Striping and more
MOVIES
We will be showing Hot Rod Lifestyle and Nostalgic movies at the stunning Zamia Theatre and you will even be able to have a beer or wine will watching a laid back flick. The movie line up will be announced soon.
THE VINTAGE SOAP BOX DERBY
This is a family event and a great way to encourage
our young ones away from the TV and Video games and out to the shed with mum and dad to design and build something cool and special ! This year was a huge success and we will work on making next years Soap Box Derby bigger and better, with more food traders for the punters, better racing structure to turn the race cars around quicker, We will again be returning to our wonderful sponsors MT BEER after the race for trophy presentations and The Fuelers from the ACT for an afternoon on live music, good company and cold MT Beer.
